A Gory Development… Come On Our Journey

Hello horror fiends, we are really getting into the swing of things now. After a brilliant chat with Ricardo, writer of “Loophole”, we have a third draft coming our way and we’ll get started on filming that very soon.

In the meantime during our hunt for a second script we came across “Fresh Flank”, a script by the wonderfully talented Emily Schwandner. It tells the chilling tale of a butcher whose meat of choice is human…

We’ve just gotten off a call with her and after an amazing chat clarifying and refining some things, Emily is ready to get back to us with a second draft as soon as possible.

Our main concern was that due to our resource limits, showing the carving of the meat in explicit detail was going to be difficult. We’ve instead decided to go the route of focusing on the victim’s expressions instead of showing the gore à la “Silence of the Lambs” style.

One could argue that this approach is actually more disturbing as it leaves the viewers to fill in the blanks with their own twisted imagination.

Ah, and it seems that Ricardo has just sent over his third draft, with an intriguing title change to “Ashley 5010” instead of “Loophole”.
