A great break from writing with writing… Even for a 400 year old vampire!

If you are reading this post on Twisted50, you are most likely a writer, whether an aspiring writer or a 400-year-old vampire writer with 300 years of experience; it doesn’t really matter – we all love the same thing and experience similar pains.

I had never participated in a short story competition before, and, to my surprise, I found this to be extremely stimulating. This Create50 initiative gave me the slap that I needed to take a small break from a long project I was working on and start thinking of fresh new ideas.

It’s a great community, the feedback is almost immediate, and the whole process doesn’t require much of your time. I wish all breaks from writing were like this one. Looking forward to the next Create50 challenge!
