Everybody, even the elderly, can have a go!
16 September 2024 · 1 min read
Having attended LSF in the past and taken part in several workshops as well as submitting a screenplay scene for direction at the festival, my fear of trying to write horror stories was not as great as it might have been otherwise.
I knew and trusted the authenticity and professionalism of LSF and the ‘everybody , even the elderly, can have a go’ attitude which is so encouraging. Following over three years of not writing anything due to a total wipe out health wise I have found that Twisted 50 has energised me back into enthusiasm again, despite the fact that I have never written or read much horror before.
I feel I have woken up.
The help and encouragement I have received from other authors has been generous and constructive, as well as learning what is a horror story and what is not. I have gained knowledge of the craft and construction of what works through reading and enjoying the work of other writers submissions to Twisted 50.
