Let’s Make A Halloween Film Too… You Have ONE WEEK For A Script!
15 October 2025 · 1 min read
For all our deranged writers who have already taken on our challenge of writing a short script (or are planning to) for our analogue horror short films, here are some amplifications to help elevate your chances.
Due to our non-existent budget – sorry – I would like suggest that scripts with one simple location would be ideal. This should be something easily achievable for us, for example no dense dark forest or a wet slippery cave or on a plane.
No explicitly detailed monsters or horrid looking killers that require extensive makeup or prosthetics either.
As Chris keeps saying, keep it simple, keep it psychological, keep it clever.
The scripts should also channel the found footage/analogue horror vibe.
Do refer to the original blog post for examples.
As Halloween is fast approaching and we do want to make use of this holiday’s backdrop, so if you have any Halloween themed ideas, get writing super fast and send them in now so that we can bring your spooky creation to life once Halloween is upon us. For two hours or so on Halloween we will have crowded streets and houses draped in spooky dressing – we should use this to our advantage.
Remember, we’ll only be accepting scripts for consideration for a short period of time so if you want to send a script in, or send a second version of a previously submitted script, now’s the time.
We look forward to reading your darkest, spine-chilling stories, so get cracking and have fun!
