My First Day In The Dungeon
4 September 2025 · 1 min read
Today marks my first day in the office with Chris, and he has thrown me into the deep end or shall I say the dungeon. I am writing my first blog on this site, and already I can feel the shadows whispering.
Hello everyone, my name is Fae, and I am a 3rd-year Drama student from California, USA. I have always had a taste for horror and thriller films, and I cannot wait to plunge headfirst into a different kind of darkness: the written word.
About three hours into my first day, I went through each submission and drafted a one-liner based on each of the stories in Twisted50 Vol IV—what a sinister pool of tales we have this year. I’m eager to see the final drafts and the new works that will creep in over the next few months.
Before I let you go, a little about me: before my arrival in the UK, I worked in Orange County in California, assisting with casting. I spent countless hours studying actor profiles and leading sessions to find the perfect match for characters in our plays. I hope to bring that eye for detail to each story that crosses my path.
While Chris has me locked down here, I aim to share my thoughts, discoveries, and reflections, while learning, contributing, and engaging with each reader and writer who love the thrill of fear.
I’m glad you have found your way here, and I’m excited to see where this dark path will take me. Thanks for reading…if you dare.
