Twisted50… Spooky Inspiration by K B Hollingworth

I have always enjoyed reading articles about the supernatural, listening to ghost stories, and watching paranormal documentaries and television shows. There’s a thrill in feeling terrified from the safety of your own sofa, with the doors locked, the curtains drawn, and with a comforting mug of cocoa. One of my favourite films is Rosemary’s Baby, and I have The Turn of the Screw and Dracula on my bookshelves.

I have written stories from childhood, mainly animal and romance stories, but my encounter with Twisted50 spurred me on to write darker stuff. I was a novice, but the advice from other writers has been invaluable and I believe that I am perfecting my craft. 

I also enjoy reading the submissions on the website. Twisted50 is much more than a writing contest; it is a community.
