This Cookie Policy explains how Talent Circle uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. It took effect on the date shown at the top of this page.
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as local storage.
These are the ones without which the Service cannot do what you have asked it to do. They are all first-party, and under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they do not require your consent.
They are: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and is deleted when you sign out; a cookie recording that you have passed the age confirmation, so you are not asked on every visit; and, if you use two-factor authentication, a short-lived cookie that carries you between the two steps of signing in. We also use your browser's local storage to remember your answer to the cookie question below.
We count page views so we can see which pages are worth keeping. This is our own counter: it records the page pattern you visited, a random id for your browser tab, and your account id if you are signed in. Nothing is sent to any third party, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
It is switched off until you accept it. You will be asked once, and refusing is a single click that costs you nothing — the Service works exactly the same either way. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, which asks the question again.
We set no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics. We do not sell or share personal data with data brokers, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Some features rely on third parties which may set their own cookies, governed by their own policies. Embedded video runs in privacy mode — YouTube embeds use youtube-nocookie.com and Vimeo embeds are sent a "do not track" instruction — so those providers set nothing until you choose to press play. Payment pages are hosted by our payment processor, which sets the cookies its checkout needs.
You can change your analytics answer at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser settings, though blocking the strictly necessary ones may stop parts of the Service from working. Questions can be sent to hello@talentcircle.org.
